Clay Ceramics
Don Marcus Wade: A short biography.
I was born during the late 1970’s in Hanford, California. My Sister, Brother and I were raised by my grandparents in Northern CA. I am a Libra, my favorite color is green, and I love comedy. I enrolled into the ceramics program at the University of Washington in 2009. Before that I attended Shoreline Community College from 2007- 2008. It was at that community college where I did most of my portfolio selections of ceramics and ink drawings.
Developing a unique ability to use ink wash and watercolors, I made a living by selling my art every Sunday at the Fremont Sunday Market.
I have a small studio which I constantly network with other artists to maximize my space and time available. My passion for fully functional ceramics was something I developed around 2007, while beginning my life in Seattle, WA. I never looked back.
I express myself well with both audio and ceramic mediums, but I have to admit that as of lately I am focused on ceramic form.
I have a supportive family and wonderful friends, and they treat me better than I deserve. I believe that my art has inspired those around me, which is why I am becoming a teacher after I complete the credential program in Spring 2023 at Chico State!
